2 November 2009 Tuesday 24 November there will be a different kind of questioning of politicians at Litteraturhuset in Oslo. Several asylum seekers will be especially invited to prepare questions on relevant topics, and get the chance to "grill" one and one politician. The following politicians will participate: - Pål Lønseth, State Secretary, Ministry of Justice and the Police, Ap - Trine Skei Grande, Vice-Chairperson Venstre - Heikki Holmås, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Local Government and Public Administration (Stortingets kommunalkomité), SV - Ola Borten Moe, Spokesperson on Immigration Issues, Senterpartiet - Per-Willy Amundsen, Spokesperson on Immigration Issues, FrP - Ingrid Baltzersen, Vice-Chairperson, Rødt - Geir Bekkevold, Spokesperson on Immigration Issues, KrF The asylum grill will take place 19.00 in the Wergeland auditorium. The event is free and open to everyone. The event is organised by several organisations and private individuals in collaboration, among them the Norwegian Centre against Racism, Norwegian People's Aid, the Afghan Refugee Committee (ARC), the Iranian Refugee Council in Norway, the Network against State Racism, the Norwegian Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual and Transgender Association (LLH), the Ethiopian Asylum Seekers' Association, Socialist Youth, the Iraqi Kurdish Asylum Seekers and Refugees Organisation in Norway (IKAF), the Association of Guardians and Borderland. |
