Earlier this year, The Iranian Refugee Council in Norway and Borderland organised an open hearing on asylum seekers from Iran, with contributions both from Norwegian authorities, other professionals, and asylum seekers themselves. You may download the full report here.

Borderland points out that most of the asylum seekers whose applications are rejected are from war-torn countries and totalitarian states. If the Norwegian Government increases the use of imprisonment of rejected asylum seekers, it will to a large extent affect people with this kind of background.

Two days before the parliamentary election we gather to demand respect for the right to asylum with the following slogans: - Against inhumane refugee policies - not against the refugees! - Stop the criminalisation of refugees! - Give refugee children a safe future in Norway!
